My favourite month 🌷

Not just because it is my birthday month but...

The sun is starting to shine a bit brighter, daffodils are dancing in the wind & fresh green shoots are suddenly appearing. The air really just feels different this time of year!

I am so looking forward to having a cup of tea sat in my garden, thinking of what gardening project I will attempt this year!

A few weekends back, I was kindly invited by the lovely team of @huntsmillfarmweddings to join them at their Open Day.

In collaboration with @theflowerstory & @princessoccasions , we dressed the table showcasing how it could look for a wedding breakfast. I, of course created the stationery (menus & place cards) but I also wanted to include my own napkins.

My background is Textiles & it is something I studied many moons ago at Uni. I get so excited about create new prints & I will never get bored of seeing my own watercolour illustrations, printed onto fabrics. I jumped at the chance when I could create a bright, floral napkin to compliment Lizzy’s beautiful florals & Charlottes stylish set up.

I now have 20 napkin squares.. would you want to see them made into a cushion?

I know I am VERY late to the party with this one but I really wanted to share my story & I am finding it hard to get back into Instagram again!

2016 was a very big jump for me - it was the year I went self employed with Anna Jayne Designs. I didn't really have a plan but couldn't keep complaining about my screen printing job to my family without doing something about it!

I had the support from my boyfriend (now husband), rented off my parents & had a dream to make a living from my artwork - so a very different situation than now! At the beginning, I did lots of commissions, pushed my Etsy shop & took part in every craft fair in the Bucks area.

Looking back at my artwork I can see how my style has developed but of course the florals are still key.

It has been a rollercoaster of a journey but very proud this little business will turn 10 in November ❣ Still working on the life/work balance but it has given me the opportunity to be around for our little girl, meet some fab wedding industry friends & be involved in some incredible collaborations.

Very excited to look back at 2026 at the end of the year!

This Sunday I will be attending my 1st Wedding Fair of the year, at the beautiful venue @notleytythebarn

It is always a busy one & I am looking forward to speaking to new/booked couples.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a barn venue, with a lovely team & such fab food! (I have been a guest here a few times so speaking from experience!)

I actually didn't touch my laptop/a paint brush like I had planned but I think I really just needed a break & to be present with my little girl.

I am very much ready for her to start Pre-school again on Tuesday & to get back in the swing of things again with work.

I hope to be better on here this year but more of a portfolio & to show you the exciting projects I have been working on... My camera roll is full of a few things I would love to share.

Where is your favourite spot in Cornwall?

I loved creating these illustrations for Chelsea & Zac for their table names. Each painting was of a special place that meant a lot to them. This would be something then I would frame after the big day.

Julie, the bride, spent time talking to me explaining about each stage. This event was something very special to the family so they wanted this to be the theme of the table plan. I am so pleased with the end result, bringing the whole festival theme together. What do you think?

To be honest I feel a little bit rusty when it comes to this sort of thing but I know it is good to be out of your comfort zone right!? I am very excited to work at this beautiful venue - @crockwellweddings & with a fab group of suppliers.

I will be sharing lots behind the scenes tomorrow.

They don't always have to be done in the traditional way... don't get to me wrong I have nothing against it, & it is what I do 75% of the time.

I just feel that it is important to think how you would like your table to be set up when deciding about this stationery item.

Personally, I would adding twine to the place card & attach to the napkin. Then this dresses the plate without too much in the way.

These two weeks have been a bit of a juggle with my little one being on Easter holidays & our routine out the window... I am very much looking forward to a few days off for Easter weekend & stepping away from the laptop!

Around the Buckinghamshire/Northamptonshire/Oxfordshire area we are very lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful places, especially Churches.

I have been lucky enough to illustrate quite a few now! I would then normally use this on the Order Of Service or a map for the wedding to the reception.

The couple would then have the chance to keep the original illustration as a momentum of the day.

As one of the country's best garden wedding venues, the sprawling Oxfordshire manor is the perfect location to play out your wedding reception ideas.

It was such a joy to paint & the gardens are beautiful all through the seasons.

This print is available on A3, A4, A5 & an A6 greeting card.

I really do love it when couples want to include their furry friends on their stationery somewhere & somehow! It really does give it that personal touch. Whether its on a table number, subtly on the invites or centre stage on the welcome sign - it is totally up to you.

Thinking back to our wedding in 2019...I should of included our gorgeous boxer dogs Kizzy & Roxy.

Stumbled across this on my laptop the other day & it reminded me I need to paint more just for me... I think it is important not to work to a deadline sometimes & not to have a chosen brief. I painted this a few years back from in my head.
